Parkies Pals · Shrivenham

Friendship at the heart of it.

Meet Kerry Hartman and discover how Parkies Pals began.

Kerry’s story

Kerry lives in Shrivenham with her family. She has enjoyed cycling, powerwalking marathons and Race for Life walks raising funds for cancer charities.

After several years of symptoms and investigations, Kerry was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in April 2017, aged 56. In her story, she describes the support of family and friends in helping her stay motivated and mobile.

She created Parkies Pals to bring people with and without Parkinson’s together in support and friendship, and to raise awareness through café meet-ups, fundraising and sponsored events.
